April Security Update

Recently, there were a couple of burglary attempts in White River Township. Both were near the intersection of Olive Branch Road and SR 135 and occurred last weekend during the early evening hours. One of the homeowners was home at the time and saw a heavy set Hispanic male. The other home had an alarm that scared them off.

Also, now that warm weather is finally here, thieves are once again getting into unlocked vehicles. Please remember to lock and remove all valuables from your vehicles.

As always, if you see anything or anyone suspicious, please call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at 317-736-5155.

March Security Update

Steve Edwards reported thefts from unlocked vehicles sitting in driveways in surrounding neighborhoods. One of the current suspects lives close to us in the Smith Valley area. Turfway Park residents have experienced thefts from vehicles in the past and locking vehicles without visible items inside is strongly recommended.

As always, if you see anything or anyone suspicious, please call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at 317-736-5155.

Save the Date – May Garage Sale!

Save the Date! The first neighborhood garage sale has been set for Saturday, May 17th. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you a few times between now and then 😀

As requested last year, there will be a second neighborhood garage sale sometime in September. Look for future updates about the specific date for this one.

February Security Update

A few weeks ago, there was an attempted theft of a decorative sculpture from a Turfway Court.

Turfway Park’s security officer, Sheriff’s Deputy Steve Edwards, has reported a few concerns from surrounding areas. Lately, there have been a few thefts from vehicles in White River Township. Also, there have been several thefts of batteries from vehicles in Greenwood.

As always, if you see anything or anyone suspicious, please call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at 317-736-5155.

Street Parking Reminder

In the case of heavy snowfall and accumulation, please refrain from parking on the street at any time during the day. This allows for plows to clear neighborhood streets quicker and more efficiently. Thank you, and stay warm!

Snow Removal Poll

We want your opinion! The HOA currently hires a contractor to clear neighborhood streets after snowfall. Some residents think that Johnson County does a credible job of keeping our streets clear after a snow and that we should eliminate the private contractor. Other residents think we should continue with the expense of a private contractor to ensure our streets are always plowed. Please express your opinion by going to the bottom of the homepage and voting, and let your neighbors know about the poll. Thank you!

Security Update

Turfway Park’s security officer, Sheriff’s Deputy Steve Edwards, has not reported any concerns in the area. He will be updating the HOA Board at least every two weeks on local security concerns, and those updates will be posted to Security Updates page as they become available.

HOA Dues and Insert

The HOA due bills were sent out earlier this week, which included a short newsletter. This newsletter is now posted under the Newsletter page for your convenience. If you have any questions about dues, or about information in the newsletter, please contact the HOA Board of Directors by emailing turfwayparkhoa@yahoo.com. Stay warm!

The Annual HOA meeting took place on Sunday, October 20th at the White River Library. Thank you to the residents that came! If you’d like to read the meeting minutes and catch up on the latest HOA news, check out the Documents page under the Community tab.
