A neighbor shared the following information to Turfway Park’s NextDoor site:
A few men have been spotted driving a brown van in a neighborhood near the intersection of Stop 11 & Combs Road claiming to sell Kirby products and giving wrapping paper as an incentive for listening to them. The men then come back to your house later to break in. This has been confirmed by a local police officer and residents have been asked to contact police if you see these suspects and vehicle.
Turfway Park’s security officer, Sheriff’s Deputy Steve Edwards, has reported a recent daytime burglary on Runyon Road near Turfway Park. The suspect’s vehicle has been described as a yellow Chevrolet Cavalier. If you see this vehicle, please call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at 317-736-5155. For all emergencies, please call 911.
